Nokia Lumia 720 Review

Nokia Lumia 720 is one of the new members of the Lumia family which is widely known for its design as one of the fanciest looking phones around. The new Lumia 720 does not only live up to its name (in terms of design) but is also known for its outstanding performance and extra capabilities. With a Qualcomm MSM8227 processor and 512 MB RAM, these phones function quite decently. One of the many great features of this phone that leaves no head unturned is the great memory and storage space they offer. Nokia Lumia 720 not only offers 8 GB of internal memory (built-in memory) but also a micro SD card slot that can support up to 64 GB of external memory.

The battery on this phone is not removable and it is a Li-Ion 2000 mAh. The battery time is also decent with approximately 23 hours and 20 minutes on 3G and 13 hours and 20 minutes on 2G network. The stand-by time that has been offered on this phone is approximately 520 hours which is extremely good as compared to many others. Therefore, where the memory and battery are concerned, this device is decent enough especially with regards to the data storage. Keeping it limited to the personal use, you will never run short of the data space.

The camera is also alright, but you cannot expect any 1080p video recording from this device. It offers 720p which is not such a bad offer if you make its comparison with the competing brands. The primary resolution of the camera is 6.7 MP and the secondary resolution is 1.3 MP. The camera also has the auto focus function available and it supports LED flash as well, which works quite efficiently. One thing that you will miss in this phone is the absence of radio and the same question is raised by the critics of the gadget. Yes, there is no radio in this phone and it has come out as quite a shocking step by Nokia. With so much stuff to look at and so many great arrangements made for the phone to be one of the best, the single missing features would always echo in the head of users if they ever feel like popping up some random music.

Coming to the body of the phone, the dimensions are great for this handset: 127.9 x 67.5 x 9 mm. The set feels good in the hand owing to its large size and decent weight which is 128 g. These handsets are often seen emitting bright, striking colours that make them look incredibly funky more than anything else. The colours in which this particular version of Lumia is available are Yellow, Red, White and Cyan or Black. The touchscreen is capacitive, which is made great with 16 M colours. Display size is 4.3 inches with 480×800 pixels. The other features are the usual such as Bluetooth, a micro USB port, and Micro-SIM.

All in all, this is a considerably decent set with great features, and a few let downs, but not too many. And this is an excellent achievement on the part of Nokia mobile manufacturing firm of international scope and reputation.
